A Viewport Tool is a tool that allows you to interact with the Viewport in a specific way. Often times a Viewport Tool will provide a manipulator within the viewport for quick/easy access to the intended functions. A Viewport Tool can also provide additional settings that control how the tool functions and/or how you interact with it. These settings are found in the Tool Settings pane.

• Node Selection - A tool that allows you to select a node in the scene, directly in the viewport.
• Universal - A tool that allows you to select a node in the scene, directly in the viewport, and then rotate, translate and/or scale that node using a manipulator.
• Rotate - A tool that allows you to select a node in the scene, directly in the viewport, and then rotate that node using a manipulator.
• Translate - A tool that allows you to select a node in the scene, directly in the viewport, and then translate that node using a manipulator.
• Scale - A tool that allows you to select a node in the scene, directly in the viewport, and then scale that node using a manipulator.
