With Ultimate Pose Master for Genesis 9, you will be able to create poses or modify existing ones very easily and efficiently. Ultimate Pose Master is a powerful and flexible tool that can be used in different ways. It provides an optimized interface and unique tools dedicated to optimizing your pose creation workflow, for Genesis 9 figures.
You can choose to use it “only” as a synthetic and global interface gathering and giving you control over all the rotations of all the bones, as well as the translations of the hip and the figure, in an organized way, with one Tab for each body area. The tabs are by default organized this way: Arms (includes Hands), Legs/Hip (includes Pelvis, Feet, and Toes), Trunk/Figure, Head/Eyes (includes Neck), Fingers, General Options, and Center of Mass. View control dials allow you to rotate your view around the node you want directly from the interface so that you can check your pose from different angles.
But you can also choose to unleash Pose Master power and to use Pose Master automatic control mechanisms too. In this mode, you can for instance connect the hand's origins (the one(s) you want) and the feet origins (the one(s) you want) to scene objects called helpers. Using the Pose Master interface, you can “dial” the position of the helpers along the vertical and horizontal directions, and the helpers will move the hands and the feet exactly where you want. During this process, only the arms and/or the legs will automatically be posed, the rest of your figure will not be affected. You can also place helpers where you want in the viewport and then launch Pose Master to pose the limb(s) you want so that the hand or foot origin reaches this helper node.
You can disconnect any helper from its hand or foot at any time, deciding this way that the corresponding arm or leg will be posed the classical way meaning that the corresponding part of the interface can now be used as a “simple” global control interface as if there was no helper for this hand or foot. And inversely you can reconnect any helper whenever you want.
In this connected - advanced - mode of use, for a given hand and foot location, you can adjust the other arm or leg bones, modifying this way the pose of the arm or the leg allowing you to place and keep the hand or the foot origin on its corresponding helper. For any hand or foot connected to its helper, when you pose the pelvis, the hip, the trunk, or the full figure, it is also possible to make the choice to keep this hand and/or foot in place on its helper or to let it move as if it was not connected, Pose Master acting like a super pin system where you are sure that hands and feet origin will stay in place if you want to. Furthermore, tools are also provided to remember the absolute orientations of the hands and the feet and to restore these preferred orientations whenever you want to.
The automatic controls can also give you the possibility to stretch the arms or legs in the direction of its corresponding helper, to place the helpers in the scene before you launch the interface, in order to move hands and feet to their helpers or to do it later on in the interface. The possibilities are endless.
You can very easily swap from one mode of use to another, in a single click, which will alternatively Disconnect All Helpers and Reconnect All Helpers, swapping this way from the Smart Interface to the Standard Interface.
The trunk rotations and the neck and head rotations are both provided with two ways to be posed. You can control the Bend, Twist, and Side-Side rotations bone by bone, but you can also process all the trunk bones together, or all the head and neck bones together. In the Tab dedicated to head and neck, you also have the possibility to automatically pose the eyes so that they look in the direction of a node of your choice. At any time, you can see in the preview mode the direction of the eyes, represented by a blue axis.
Nine fingers presets can be loaded directly from the interface, but you will enjoy the Fingers tab, with a unique and incredible organization of the controls of the fingers allowing you an optimized experience when posing fingers.
Finally, you will be able to create, preview, and update the center of mass of the figure, which can help you to clearly analyze its balance.
Many additional tools and options are also included (symmetry, drop to floor, bake to transforms, convergence, visibility, preview modes, perspective view tools, etc, etc.). All the scene tools are invisible in render, and, if you want, can be deleted all at once when you close the script.
Finally, a bonus additional tool was included, allowing you to translate any node to any other node, and more particularly to move any node to the anchor node of the hands.
Even if the whole interface and all the tools have been designed in order to be simple and very intuitive to use, Pose Master comes with a strong paper and video documentation detailing how to use it and all the additional options and features included.
Please have a look at these videos. They were initially made for the Genesis 8 version of the product but the Genesis 9 version behaves exactly the same way, with a few different bones names and a much faster launch speed.
