Alternate Textures for Storybook Frog and Genesis 8.1 Male is a texture add-on that gives Joe Quick's quirky Storybook Frog 4 distinct skins (and several alternate versions) based on real frogs.

And since SB Frog uses Genesis 8.1 Base UVs, we patched, tweaked, and retextured the skin to provide a human alternative, meaning that these extra presets will allow you to use the skin on any Genesis 8.1 character regardless of whether you own Storybook Frog!

This skin texture pack can work as a standalone product to help you reimagine the humans or creatures already in your arsenal. Additionally, we have also included anatomical textures for the human version of the skins.

In total, you get 10 Frog Skin material presets, 10 Human Skin material presets, and 10 Hierarchical Human Skin material presets (which will apply the anatomical textures and their corresponding torso texture). While you can use the looks as envisioned, we understand and value the importance of customization, so we have included several partial Iray materials to help you tweak, refine, and mix things together to create a different look.

The refinement presets include 10 eye material presets, 3 gloss presets, and 2 teeth visibility presets. We have also included presets to turn on and off the displacement maps to help with clothing poke through and lower render times.

While we based these hand-painted skins on real frogs, it is up to you what type of roles and scenarios you would like the character who will wear them to fill!

Important: While the textures in this product do not use the PBR Skin shader, they have been set up to work only with Genesis 8.1 Base Male UVs. So it is important to apply/load your character on Genesis 8.1.

The files have been zipped per skin to allow you to only download the skins you like. Each of the four zip files is 400 to 500 megabytes in size.

While this is meant as a product add-on for Joe Quick’s Storybook Frog for Genesis 8.1 Males, we included alternate material presets (human) to allow you to use the skin on any character that uses the Genesis 8.1 Base Male Uvs.
