Product Information

This style of sheepskin coat started to be imported into the West in the mid 1960s. Demand took off after the Beatles and other celebrities were pictured wearing them and they were a fashion item throughout the 1970s, and still popular today. dForce Chelsea Coat recalls that era and adds various colors and styles to suit any character and to keep them warm!

dForce Chelsea Coat features dForce Hair for the fur, giving a highly realistic look. There are three embroidered colors and 11 preset decorated colors, and by changing the Base Color, you can create your own variations. There are also presets to change the colors of the sides, fur and sleeves and to remove the decoration for a plain finish. The coat can be short or long, have the sleeves up or down, tight or wide and there are a variety of neckline morphs too. And there are various style presets to change the appearance of the fur to give the perfect look.

Get dForce Chelsea Coat to add the final touch of fashion and style to your characters!

Additional Details

  • The Coat is intended to be used with dForce draping. There are a large number of characters with bespoke morphs included, but it can be used with any character.
  • While the Fur was created using dForce Hair, simulation for it has been turned to “Visible in Simulation Off” via the Parameters Display section to allow for easier draping and posing. While off by default the fur does drape when set to “Visible in Simulation On” but render times will be slower. Morphs have been added to the fur to allow for Gravity, Length and Randomizing the Fur!
  • While it will often give good results with the default simulation on the current frame, the safest way to achieve a good drape is to set up a small animation with 61 frames (2 seconds) and set the pose and character that you want at frame 40 and select the Simulate Animation option. For extreme poses you may want to extend these timings.
  • In the unlikely event that you get the dreaded “explosion” when draping, ensure that the material is not getting trapped under the arms or legs and that a hand (for example) is not passing through the material.
  • In addition to the many color presets, you can easily change the Base Color for the coat surfaces of the Decorated or plain textures in order to get just the right look for your image.
