If you struggle to get satisfying results with the Sun-Sky settings in Iray, the Iray Sun-Sky System is for you!

Iray Sun-Sky System is a collection of 35 render setting presets that can be used to quickly light any outdoor scene. A spherical prop with cloud materials applied helps to add realistic cloud cover to your sky. The prop can be rotated and scaled to suit your scene. The included Sun Node can be used, along with its preset poses, to direct your sunlight more precisely.

Additional Details

  • To use the Sun Node spotlight, load the light labled 'Sun Node' into your scene and find the SS Sun Node setting in your Render Settings tab. Set the Sun Node light as your sun. You can then select the light in your Scene tab and use the preset poses to move it, and your Iray “sun,” around the sky. If you need more precision, you can set your viewport option to 'Sun Node' and see what the spotlight is aimed at.
