The Ridge Outfit is a highly detailed and elegant fantasy outfit with multiple distinctive pieces.

The separate outfit parts can be easily combined to achieve a variety of looks, plus numerous adjustment and style morphs make mixing and matching the parts easy.

All the dForce compliant parts are rigged independently and can be posed before or after running a dForce simulation, and the outfit comes with eight full texture sets which cover a range of styles.

With so many possibilities, the dForce Ridge Outfit is perfect for your sorceress, empress, ice queen, hopeless romantic, alien goddess and stunning succubus.

  • This product contains scripts that include source or derivative code from the following Scripting Samples:
  • General Morph Types
    • The outfit parts of this product load with a selection of morphs and control dials for the dress designed to help you with fitting it. The morph categories are as follows:
      • - Adjustments: Alter shape and fit of a piece.
      • - Styles: contains shaping morphs which are designed to allow you to use mulitple outfit pieces together.
      • - Controls: controls movement and length of the separate dress parts.
  • The Ridge Outfit and dForce
    • How to work with the Ridge Outfit and dForce (wearable presets only)
      • This method works best for simple standing poses.
        • If you want to set up a dForce simulation, please take the following steps:
          • 1 - Load G8F into your scene
          • 2 - Apply your chosen wearable preset to G8F with the dForce compliant outfit
          • 3 - Set up an animation with 61 frames (you can raise this value if you want the piece or pieces to settle and drape fully)
          • 4 - In frame 1, set a keyframe (click on the little key icon with the plus symbol inside, to the far right end of the bottom icon bar) with Genesis in default pose and your freshly loaded simulation ready wearables preset
          • 5 - Go to frame 25, select a pose for Genesis, then add a new keyframe in pose 25
          • 6 - Go to the Simulation tab inside DAZ Studio and change the following default settings: Start Bones from Memorized Pose - OFF, Frames To Simulate: Animated (Use Timeline Play Range), Collision Mesh Resolution: Base
          • 7 - Hit the “Simulate” Button!
  • If you find the cape drapes are too angular, you can add subdivision to the cape's mesh (go to the main menu of Daz Studio and select Edit → Figure → Geometry → Convert to SubD).
  • How to work with the Ridge Outfit and dForce
    • This method works best for more challenging poses.
      • If you want to set up a dForce simulation NOT using the wearable presets, please take the following steps:
        • 1 - Load G8F into your scene
        • 2 - Apply your chosen outfit piece to G8F; please note that the dress has a very long train which will interesect with the floor. You will have to lift the figure above floor level in frame 1 to avoid intersections!
        • 3 - Set up an animation with 61 frames (you can raise this value if you want the piece or pieces to settle and drape fully)
        • 4 - In frame 1, set a keyframe (click on the little key icon with the plus symbol inside, to the far right end of the bottom icon bar) with Genesis in default pose and your freshly loaded simulation ready wearables preset
        • 5 - Go to frame 25, select a pose for Genesis, then add a new keyframe in pose 25
        • 6 - Go to the Simulation tab inside DAZ Studio and change the following default settings: Start Bones from Memorized Pose - OFF, Frames To Simulate: Animated (Use Timeline Play Range), Collision Mesh Resolution: Base
        • 7 - Hit the “Simulate” Button!
  • If you find the cape drapes are too angular, you can add subdivision to the cape's mesh (go to the main menu of Daz Studio and select Edit → Figure → Geometry → Convert to SubD).
  • For some scenes you can try to reduce the Air Resistance values in the simulation settings (Simulation Settings tab, Environment Settings). This will help prevent ballooning of the simulated parts and will also help them to settle on the figure earlier.
  • Customizations
    • Some of the different configurations for this outfit use the different options to show/hide parts of several pieces. You can find these options in each of these mentioned outfit pieces in your parameters tab under General/Hide-Show.
    • To reset each of the pieces to their default state, please use the included utilities found under People/Genesis 8 Female/Clothing/Arki/Ridge/Utilities.
