Just Add Water!

A set of high resolution mangrove tree and shrub models with complex root systems and detailed foliage and bark.

Along with a set of root and trunk models at a lower resolution to fill your scenes at eye level with tangles of roots and trunks. (designed to work alongside the high polygon trees and shrubs and be mixed in)

High resolution real world Iray shaders (you can change the tiling/sub division etc, on bark materials to suit your needs), realistic translucency mapping and shader presets for foliage, and double sided leaves (a subtly different material dependent on which side of the leaf your looking at), all photographed from real mangrove trees to give a photo real effect, great for blending in to your existing environment props, such as teradome or to populate your own scenes.

Move the trees on the y axis to expose more or less roots above the surface of the water or the ground, and rotate different instances of the same model on the y axis, along with slight variations in scaling to create the illusion of enormous diversity of shape. The trees and shrubs can be combined to create very realistic clumps or trees of more character and also blend well in to the lower resolution root base models to fill out your foregrounds.

• Please note that the tree and shrub models in this package are high polygon. If you want to speed your renders up a little, and your plants do not need to be as high a resolution, you can turn down or zero the subdivision for displacement in the shaders tab.
• Rescale, and rotate on the y axis to get a variety of looks from the same plants. The roots are a lower polygon count and less detailed and are intended to populate the spaces between instances of the trees and shrubs.
