Additional Details

  • Glass shader presets can be applied to any surface including bowls or glassware. However, you need to use the smooth surface shader on the rods and teardrops. You also want to use the smooth shader on things like bowls. The faceted should be used on the other crystals so that they retain sharp edges. How thick the glass is can impact how some of the shaders look when rendered. In some cases, the iridescent shaders may give unexpected results.
  • How the glass and glass shaders will look depends on the lighting, what you use them on and environment you use them in. I suggest at least one direct light source (like a spot light) aimed at them to get the best results. They and the shaders will also be influenced by the environment that they are used in.
