Additional Details

  • USE:
    • This product is intended for use with Michael 4 default. Use of this product with Genitalia on will produce poke through.
    • AUTO FIT: These clothing pieces are set up to 'auto-fit' to Michael where possible. However, due to the high polycount of this product, there are a limited number of morphs available. Due to more recent updates of Poser and DS, the autofit morphs may be hidden upon conforming/fitting the clothing item to the figure. This will not effect the function of the auto-fit.
    • WEARABLES: The wearables have been set up in DS to allow access for DS users without having to leave their Daz folders, folders where their Fur is access from. However, DS doesn't completely support this situation because the wearables are referencing a VERY Specifically set up folder structure in Poser, some of which is user editable. To keep this from being messed up, the wearables have been set up to load from a copy of the CR2s saved in the Geometry folder. This is NOT a woopse, if you remove the cr2s from the geometry folder, the wearables will not function.
    • Fur: Fur in this product has been generated in two different methods.
    • DS FUR: Is using the LAMH (Look at My Hair). This product has a free player that allows the user to render using this product without having to purchase the full plugin package. Visit: http://www.daz3d.com/free-3d-models-and-content/look-at-my-hair-free-player. Once this is installed, the loading of the wearable of the Fur Cloak will bring with it the fur automatically.
      • There are 2 versions of the fur, one with the fur fluffy around the shoulders which is for without Paldrons, and one that tucks the fur a bit for use with the Paldrons.
      • To apply the material settings, simply select the prop of the hair (which will be inside a folder on loading) and apply as you would any other mat. (Yeah! We got a shader to finally work on the fur rather than having to reload!)
    • IRAY USERS!!!!:
      • In order for the fur to show up in Iray, you need an actual object for it to render. To create this, bring up the LAMH tab.
      • At the bottom of the tab, it there is a button, 'to object'. With the fur prop selected, press the button and wait.
      • It will freeze up your program for a moment but don't worry, it's generating the geometry. When it is done it will show a grey version of the fur which is the poly meshed fur. You can hide the green guide hairs but do NOT delete them!!!
      • This new hair mesh will now render in Iray.
      • Apply the shader to the hair by selecting the new geometry (NOT THE GREEN HAIRS!!!) selecting all under surfaces, and apply the shader.
      • The new generated OBJ is a static OBJ. Before generating the cape fur, pose Michael 4 in the pose of your choice and then generate. Reposing will cause the fur cape to have to be regenerated
      • LAMH: This fur was set up for full body and chest/head portrait distance renders at default. It however can be adjusted however you like very easily to match your viewing distance.
      • Closeups-If your fur feels like it has too few hairs for a close up render, you can adjust the density in the LAMH Tab to higher. You can also adjust the tip size and the root size to something smaller. This only works BEFORE hitting the 'to Obj' button. If you have already generated an object, simply delete the obj, unhide your green hairs if you have hidden them, and generate a new 'to Obj' at the new settings.
      • Distance-Likewise if you are rendering from a distance and the fur looks so dense that it's a smudge, lower the density and raise the tip and root size.
    • Poser FUR: This fur is using the Hair room, however everything has been set up as it needs to be to run. Please do not attempt to run a simulation as it may cause unexpected pokethrough or long Computational times.
      • Materials for Fur Cloak:
        • To apply the materials for the Fur, select the hair prop (chest_fur) and apply the Hair Room mat.
          • Now select the Fur Cloak and apply the Cloak Base Mat order to hide any poke through.
    • Conforming and Posing:
      • The Cape and the Cloak share much of the same rigging. Several of the joints don't seem to move the cloak much, however they are there for conformation. For the best results, use the same pose for the Cape and the Cloak.
    • The tabard largely conforms to all leg movements but it is not always exact. Many additional joints have been provided as children of the 'hip' to allow fine tuning of the pose. Also there are additional 'Loosen' morphs provided in the Tabard to allow Adjustment if the fitting becomes too tight.
    • DS Surfaces:
      • The materials are intended for DS4.8 and higher. Some surface changes may be necessary depending on your lighting choices.
    • Poser Materials:
      • The materials are intended for Poser 7 or higher. Some materials changes may be necessary depending on your lighting choices.
