In time the ocean claims all that get lost here. These ghostly relics become shelter for sea life and artifacts of exploration. Underwater Relics is 9 tile-able shader/texture presets: 3 wood, 3 metal, 3 stone. Includes diffuse, bump and displacement maps. All are 1200×1200.

These shaders also work above sea level as moss in extremely wet, tropical or forest environments.

Also, if you're feeling bold there are 3 separate material presets for extreme displacement. These work best on organic shapes. The props and lights from UltruMarine Ocean were used in most of the promotional images.

No lights, props or figures from the promotional images are included in this set.

Additional Details

  • These shaders are tileable so you can scale the effects. The wood shaders work best for fabric. The stone shaders work best for bone. Any glass or plastic could be left untreated as a nice contrast.
  • The extreme displacement shaders work best on organic shapes (not on edges/angles less than 120°)
  • In some cases the default displacement settings may cause holes in props and may need to be turned down IF it's not a desirable effect. These holes actually accentuate the crusty deterioration on some surfaces, appearing as rusty holes in metal and warped decomposing wood.
