Product Information

  • Required Products: None

Are you excited about motion? Sometimes aniBlocks are not the answer. Sometimes an animator wants a traditional keyframing solution. It's here, keyMate.

Visually copy, paste, delete, and slide around the keys with great efficiency. Save time by working on whole hierarchies of keys as opposed to one parameter at a time. Use the Time Scrollbar to instinctively zoom and navigate to parts of the animation.

  • Set Key(s)
    • taking the current amounts for each parameter, set keys on the object hierarchy or just the node(depending on mode). You may wonder why you would need to set a key since Studio auto keys. Indeed this is true, if you grab and move the arm, keys are set on all nodes affected. Yet, usually if you pose a character you did not adjust all the bones in the hierarchy. When you get the pose just right, you usually want a key on all the nodes. Simple rule, after getting that pose just right, double click on the figure and click the set key button before you go pose the figure at a different place in the animation.
  • Key Types
    • only doing motion? then TR (Translate and Rotate) is all you want. Doing some scaling effects? TRS is for you. Animating morphs and want to see those keys also? TRSV (Translate, Rotate, Scale, Values) is what you want.
  • Set Key Mode
    • see “Set Key(s)”
  • Body Widgets
    • You DO NOT need to grab the playhead to move the playhead. Just click where you want the playhead to be. Click and drag to scrub(you don't need to first click on the playhead). Double clicking anywhere in the keys area will also move the playhead, most commonly a person would double click on a key. Clicking on a key will select the associated node in the scene. Box select is very handy. Hold down control and box select to add to your selection. Dragging keys that are currently selected is also supported.
  • Max
    • the maximum frame count. If you are at 30fps and you want to do a 4 second animation, then 120.
  • FPS
    • frames… per… second…
  • Timeline Scrollbar and Zoom
    • see the tick marks on the ends, dragging these will adjust the start or end of the play range. This also changes what keys are shown in the keys area. The scrollbar is a window that indicates what is shown of the entire animation. The main body of the scrollbar can be dragged to adjust the play/shown range as a whole. Go try it, it will make sense.
