Who doesn't use a cell phone these days? It seems apropos that Victoria and Genesis have some telecommunication option in their rendered lives.

“I'm On The Phone” is a collection of 22 poses for V4 and Genesis. Walking, sitting, driving, leaning and laying down, all while talking on a cell-phone. Developed for your modern day and future day renders. In addition, there are 22 mirrored versions of these poses, 44 in total. That's just for V4! For the Genesis Base, there are 25 poses as well as 25 mirrored poses, plus 22 optimized poses for the V4 FBM of Genesis.

A basic cellphone pp2 “smart” prop (seen in the promos) is included for both the right and left hand. There is a MAT file to optimize the prop for use in DAZ Studio. There are also the .daz model equivalents for DAZ Studio included in the installer . Most of these poses are versatile enough to be used with other characters and other handheld phone props like Tele-phony. There are 4 hand poses, and 2 partial arm poses available as well to add a little variety!

Separate poses for V4, Genesis Base and additional bonus poses for Genesis-V4-FBM.

Please note: All poses were developed with “limits on” and are within the natural range of motion for the figure. These are rotation only poses, meaning they will apply to your figure character at its current location in a scene. They do not affect scaling or translation. Look for additional information in the readme and the wiki.

Additional Details

  • All these poses are saved only with rotations, and no translation information, the reason for this is, the pose can be added to V4 or Genesis where ever they are placed in a scene. The model only gets the pose but doesn't move from that position in the environment setup. Very important in larger cinematic type scenes. If the translation info would be added, then the figure would zero back to the origin point and then the user would have to reposition the model again. This can be extremely tedious, and I find the method I used, significantly more functional.
  • All Poses were developed with limits On and are within the natural range of motion for that particular figure; unless specifically noted as Limits Off.
  • I chose the best pose angles for the PNGs, but because of the no translation information, the poses will load onto V4 and Genesis where ever the “Body/Root” is. This means, that laying down type poses could have the figure appear to be floating in the air. This would happen for sitting poses too. Simply use the y axis arrow or dial to move the figure down to the floor. It is less work for the “artist” to manually translate the figure in the y axis, then the alternate. Now once the root node is (moved) translated to the correct Y axis height, all the other laying or sitting poses will load at that corresponding height. (this will only be confusing the first time it happens, it is all pretty straightforward for experienced user)
  • For DS4 Now the optimized GenesisV4 FBM poses do morph genesis to 1 on the V4 morph dial because these specific poses are influenced by the exacting difference in the rigging and shape of GenesisV4 compared to the Base Genesis. They literally had to be precision tuned to follow the V4 shape.
  • In Poser, the cell phone props are smart propped they will load at the respective left and right hand, and be parented automatically.
  • In DS, simply drag the listed left and right cellphone in the scene tab to the respective hand bone to parent it.
