THE SECRET VALLEY is a highly detailed and self contained scene that also works with the Iray Skydome and also the Iray Skydome “Superpak” for extreme versatility.

This scene has been developed for several months, it is not just a highly detailed and realistic scene, it also includes many extras such as 10 Pre Set Scenes, 15 Camera positions, plus Flower MATS and Tree Flower MATS and Tree1 Instance Positions as well. It also includes the Skydome and Sun from the Iray Worlds Skydome Pak, plus 2 extremely hi resolution Sky textures from those Paks as well. Also included in this SECRET VALLEY pak are 2 new invisible light throwing Illumination spheres, plus a Magix-101 innovation, an invisible Skylight that can influence the entire hue of your scene. • SETUP
  • Install “The Secret Valley” as directed by your installation setup.
  • Open Daz Studio, Go to “My DAZ 3D Library” or “My Library”, then navigate to Environments/Magix-101/Iray-Worlds/Secret Valley
  • You will see 10 Preset Scenes, simply load any one of those and then render it. Its that simple.
• If you experience any kind of computer slowdown when using these scenes, switch the main preview window to “Texture Shaded” while you are moving things around and then back to “Nvidia Iray” to check it from time to time until you render it.
• If you want different Camera Views of this scene then select the “Film-Cam” in your scene and go to the “Cameras” Folder and double click one of the 15 Camera Views to get a different Scene View.
• Below the cameras folder is the “MATS and Positions” folder.
  • The top 3 Icons are different texture colors for the Hibiscus flower.
    • Select the Main Hibiscus flower (not the Instances) in your scene, make sure that the texture surface is selected and apply the new texture.
  • You can also change the Tree1 Instance Postion.
    • Select the “Tree 1 instance” and apply one of the postion changing icons.
    • The first one is default (where the tree is positioned originally).
• Below the “Cameras” folder is the “Skylight” folder.
  • This contains an invisible light throwing “Skylight” (A “Magix-101 Innovation”) and also an Invisible Illumination Sphere
  • The “Skylight” is an invisible Skydome that sits just below the main Sky Texture Skydome and influences the light in the scene.
  • Its very powerful and you can change the overall hue of the scene, you can even use it to generate light and turn off the Sun,this makes the entire Magix-101 Iray Worlds Skydome very powerful indeed..(Watch others try to copy this innovation)
  • A good example to see how this works is to look at the night scene with Lotus flower close ups in the pond.
  • This scene uses the Illuminating Spheres and the Skylight and no Sun, notice the almost magical glow that this scene, this is exactly as it is rendered, nothing has been added in post production.
  • To change color and the power of any of these two light generators, simply select one of them in your scene, then go to Surfaces,then the material ie “IR_Skylight” then select “emission' and from there change the color and/or Luminance.
  • You can position the “Illumination Sphere” wherever you like and even duplicate it to make more and change the color and output, but dont change the postion of the Skylight, it should remain exactly where it is.
